This book covers six years of work in documenting a part of the cultural heritage of the American Indians that is rapidly disappearing. In the early ’s, some information on the trees was published, but then it languished in archives. The subject remained below the radar for years. Now, through interviews with tribal elders and extensive research, this book tells the story.   For centuries, descendants of Europeans enacted purposed plans for ridding themselves of what they saw as problems created by Native Americans. Some of these plans were intended to wipe out Native Americans entirely while some others were meant to curtail efforts of Native Americans, push them away, keep them in controlled environments, 5/5.

Its height is 1 to 6 cm that reaches at 3 inches in diameter.

The Native World-System is a volume in the ISSUES OF GLOBALIZATION: CASE STUDIES IN CONTEMPORARY ANTHROPOLOGY series, which examines the experiences of individual communities in our contemporary world. Each volume offers a brief and engaging exploration of a particular issue arising from globalization and its cultural, political, and economic.
